Microsoft's Greenburg points out Sony's failed promises

Aaron Greenberg brings up some solid points against Sony's chest-puffing that we've seen since before the PS3 even launched.

We have been fighting Sony's promises from the day we entered the market

The point is strengthened by all the failed promises for the PS2. Sony over-talked and delivered when it came to future features then, and while they are being more active this time around, they are setting expectations higher than they can meet.

Like Greenberg, I want to know where the hell Home is at. I'd basically decided to let my PS3 rot until this came out, which I'd figure would be the end of last year. Still waiting. Still no entitlements, integrated friends list, or fun online environment.

Another thing he points out is 1080p. Sony vomited constantly about how their "Full HD" support would be superior and that HDMI was a humongous advantage. Two years later, the 360 has HDMI as well, and it will upscale anything to 1080p. A 1080p-supporting PS3 game is a rare find still; most default to 720p which is disappointing.

Biggest point he throws out is that the 360 still has more exclusives and way more games. They even have a few RPGs now, with more to come. There are some big PS3 exclusives such as MGS4 and FFXIII he failed to mention, but the variety lies with the Xbox 360 right now.

The article isn't so much a discussion as it is a series of good questions and snacks for thought.

Top 10 Most Anticipated Xbox 360 Games

We are finally half way threw the year of 08 and we have experience one of the biggest launches in entertainment history, Grand Theft Auto 4. That was probably one of your most anticipated games of 07 which it got delayed and now it was on the top of your list for 08. Well it came and now your like, What do I look forward to now? Well, that's why I have this guide that will show you what games you should be looking out for in the xbox 360 department. Let's get goin!

10. Fable 2: After it being announced at GDC, this had to be on the top 10 most anticipated Xbox 360 Games. The first one was one of the greatest games on the original xbox and now shifting over to the 360 what can we expect? Mini-Games! Did he just say Mini-Games? Yeah, I did! Before the launch of Fable 2, we get are hands on a gambling game. You win money and then when the game is release you can then transfer the money to the actual game. So money is obviously a big factor in this game. Choices in the game will effect who you will turn out in the end. Story wise, it takes place 500 years after the first game. You play as a custom character that decides to either take the high road and save all of mankind or you can step onto the evil side.

9. Too Human:
Yes, it's been in development for over 10 years but who's counting? Mr. Dyack, has told us countless of times that the game will be out this year, yes he meant 08. Besides that this game looks fantastic, you play a a cybernetic god name Baldur. He has taken on the role of getting rid of a deadly army of machines that are set to destroy the human race. Gameplay is a fusion of "Action and RPG". So basically your getting a 2 for one deal on this game.

8. Alone in the Dark:
Turn out the lights, I'm trying to be alone in the dark. No this game is not about me alone in the dark. It's about Edward Carnby, you may know him from the original Alone in the Dark series. Well he is back for another terrifying journey in a re-creation of New York's Central Park(Developers love NY). Where he will find the dark truth that will change Edward Carnby forever.

7. Star Wars: The Force Unleashed: Star wars! Where? Calm down lad. We will get a taste of the new star wars game this year. This game leaks more into the dark side then all of the other traditional star wars game. You take the role of Darth Vader's Secret Apprentice, as you use your powers threw the game you will be able to unlock new levels of power. As the story unfolds you will have the choice to do right and go the path of a jedi or you can continue to stay on the path of the dark side. Which will you choose?

6. Unreal Tournament 3:
We all seen it in action for the PS3, us 360 fanboys dieing to get a taste of the Unreal action. Well we are getting it! Online is incredible, Story mode is the best yet. Speaking of Story mode, let me tell you what your missing if you don't get this game. Necris invasion has began, join the epic battle to save all of humanity once and for all. Graphics, Gameplay are all enhanced by the Unreal Engine 3, That means it's more bad ass!

5. Ninja Gaiden II:
Coming in 5th place is Ninja Gaiden II, You play as Ryu Hayabusa a deadly ninja set to avenge his clan while doing that you have to save the human race from total destruction. With a wide range of weapons you will have no problem hacking down enemies. This game hits stores this june, why not pick it up! Fans of blood, blood and more blood will love this game because it's full of blood and if you not in for that there is always gore for you freaks out there.

4. Dead Space: They are still shooting for the Halloween release, Dead Space. It made it to our 4th spot on the Most Anticipated Xbox 360 games for a reason. It's Scary! Who doesn't love being scared in a video game. This game is definitely going to make it to my xbox 360 come fall of this year. This story take place in space (Duh!) on a space ship, you have to fight your way out of the ship before the unearthed aliens trapped in side seal your doom. You must use your survival instincts to seal the aliens back into the dark rock. If you can't wait for the game then pick up the comic book based on the game.

3. Saints Row 2: By time Saints Row 2 comes out, we will finally have Grand Theft Auto 4 out of our systems. That is the 2 percent of everyone, but this has been in the shadows of Grand Theft Auto for a very long time now and since Grand Theft Auto 4 launched with perfect scores it's going to be hard to top that. But for the fanboys this is going to be one drive by you can't miss. If you didn't like the way Rockstar took on GTA 4 then try Saints Row 2. In my opinion this game is going to be good, if the first one was great then you know the second is going to be better or worse. Overall I think Saints Row 2 is about to step out of GTA shadow, just a little.

2. Fallout 3:
No we are not talking about the girl crazy rock band "Fall out boyz". We are talking about something that is much greater in the entertainment scale. Fallout 3 is probably going to be the biggest open environment next to Grand Theft Auto 4. Story starts off as Fallout 3 will be coming with a limited edition version. If your looking forward to this game then I recommend going for the limited edition version. You get a Vault boy bobble head and a lunch box, watch out ladies! Thanks to Bethesda Studio, we will all enjoy this game fall of this year.

1. Gears of War 2: You feeling a little blood thirsty or how about a little chainsaw happy. Then this fall way don't you pick up Gears of War 2. It's the second installment in the Gears of War series and it's bigger and way more bad ass then the first game. Continue the story of Marcus Fenix and Delta Squad as they blast threw Locust like they were nothing. All your old friends are back and ready to kick ass and take names.

Bigger & Better...

It's been a long ride, but I think its my time to jump off. With TGN expanding, I find it hard to see a place for Techbugtv doing well. So now, Techbugtv will be officially leaving TGN for good. After this post, there will be no more news posts of any kind. Don't worry though, because I will be posting on TGN PlayStation. If you have any questions, please e-mail me at Jared@Techbugtv.com

We'll be back later...

There are just too many websites for me to handle right now. I've been at a stand still with news for all the websites, so I came up with an idea. I will be taking a break from Techbugtv for now, mostly because not much is going on in the world of tech. I'll start posting mainstream TGN Apple news around mid May, covering the WWDC event. For now though, I'll mainly be on the TGN Playstation blog. There is more than enough Playstation news going on right now.

TGN Update

It looks like the Tech Galaxy Network is finally expanding! We have 3 new websites launching today, and they each support their own category. The Official new topics are; Nintendo, Tech, Apple, Xbox, and Playstation. Since the start, Techbugtv has covered all topics. Get ready for a transition, because Techbugtv will now only be covering tech news. This means that there will be no more gaming news on this website. The content will all still be on the Tech Galaxy Network, but just go to which website you'd prefer.

A slow Saturday...

Well, today was a very slow Saturday. I've spent most my day trying to download some of my favorite podcasts like Diggnation. I really do think that DSL is almost the next Dial Up, because the internet these days is taking up so much power. Anyways, I barely get to touch my PS3 during the week since I have sports and homework all the time. I'm about a little more than halfway done with Pro Street. I really wanted to buy Gran Turismo, but I really have no need for it right now. I'm getting kind of tired of racing games, so I'm thinking about a good first person shooter. I also want a good fighting game, so I'll wait till summer to get those. It's old news, but Sony now has the Sixaxis rumble controller! I wish that they could of had these ready by PS3 launch date, but late is better than never. I probably won't be buying one of these controllers anytime soon, because I've now found out that I can still have a good gaming experience without rumble.

Warp Zone Episode 1 - The Rebirth

Yes, Warp Zone is back! With 2 new co-hosts, it will now be in audio form. It still runs around an hour, but SonikDude is trying to get it up on i-Tunes. Yes, this does mean that we will be working with them again in terms of cross advertising. We will have more news on this on a later date!
